Dry Run Scheduled

Kim, Clarissa and I met on Tuesday to nail down a place to take the photos. After checking out some possibilities we settled on the auditorium entryway - behind the doors the area where the tickets are collected - its dark, its the right size, and we hope that we will attract lots of interest from students.

Please come to the Auditorium entrance at Lunch on Friday for a DRY RUN. If you have a digital camera please bring it, also bring or borrow a tripod if you can find one. I'll bring a couple of stands with lights. If you know of anyone who might want to help with this project, please bring them too!

We are going to PRACTICE and prepare for the Real Thing next week.

We will practice:
1. Getting each model's name, written release and contact information
2. Directing models in groups and poses
3. Taking pictures, moving lights
4. Managing Diva Behaviour (maybe!)

I will also need commitments for collaborators to help during the REAL THING on next Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday during Lunch Hour and right after school on those three days.

Monday meeting, April 30, lunch at Mr. Manning's classroom

We had our first "real" meeting on Monday, April 30, during lunch hour in Mr. Manning's room.
There were seven collaborators present. I shared the demographic information about the students in JDHS. I would like to have the people in the murals fully represent the people in the school, including age, ability, ethnicity, etc.
At this meeting:
1. Phil will begin collecting ephemera, and will coordinate the collection of ephemera. All collaborators are encoraged to collect ephemera from their classes and friends.
2. Clarissa will work with Louanne on the photography issues: locating digital cameras, tripods, photographers, lights.
3. Barbara will get model releases to the activity office for distribution. Also prepare an announcement to solicit models to pick up releases.
4. Agreed to meet on Friday, May 4 at lunch at Mr. Manning's room to follow-up on goals and set new tasks.
